At the conclusion of the festival, the adjudicators will, without discussion, individually rank the productions in order of personal preference, with 1 being the best and not exceeding 10. Their choices will be totalled by a tournament official, and the lowest overall score will be considered the Best Production. These rankings will not be discussed and the scores will not be disclosed.

By a National rule established in 1992, if an AACT member association hosts more than ten theatre company participants, two equal co-winners will be invited to the next level.

This being the case, the two lowest scores will be considered equal co-winners with no differentiation between the two.
