DIRECTIONS TO THREE NOTCH THEATRE

Congratulations!
MD Groups Shine
at Regional Festival!

Colonial Players, Silver Spring Stage with 2 entries and Port Tobacco Players gave wonderful performances at the Regional Theatre Festival held in Newark, Delaware May 7and 8, 2010.  On behalf of the Board of Directors MCTFA President Zeke Johnson extends thanks to the casts and crews of the four productions that made the trip and competed in the festival.

Congratulations to Amy Victoria Parachetti from Port Tobacco Players, and Erika Imhoof and Nello DeBlasio from Silver Spring Stage who were honored by the adjudicators with acting awards.  Additionally Erika and Nello each won a Peoples Choice Award for acting.

Congratulations also go to Leta Hall who won the Best Direction award and to Silver Spring Stage for their production of "CLEAN" by Audrey Cefaly, which was showered with the 1st place award for the ESTA portion of the Festival, Best in Show for ESTAFest Original Works 2010 Festival and the production received the Peoples Choice Award for Best Production.

The Board of Directors is proud of the 4 companies that represented Maryland at the Regional level this year and look forward to seeing the same level of theatrical excellence in 2011, which is a National year in the AACTFest cycle.

We also congratulate the British Players who performed "Lunch Break" which earned them a 3rd place win in the Original Works portion of ESTAFest 2010.
